NOW is the time to get your Crawfish Boil tickets, but before you do, please read this information. Like your momma said, it's for your own good!
This year, our Annual Crawfish Boil is going to be held on Saturday, April 29th, at our traditional location beside the Lawhon's pond at 4958 Forest Hill Irene Road in Memphis. We made some changes last year, and believe it or not, most of them turned out to be quite popular. As the old saying goes, "Sometimes even a blind squirrel finds an acorn".
One of the changes we made was to make the event B-Y-O-F-B. What's B-Y-O-F-B? BRING YOUR OWN FAVORITE BEVERAGE! Yes, the "F" stands for "Favorite". (Get your mind out of the gutter). Turns out folks like bringing their preferred beverage, and that allows us to focus on the crawfish to keep ticket prices as low as possible. (Bottled water provided). We're also starting the Boil at 1:00 p.m. due to popular demand. Last year, we moved up the starting time to get ahead of bad weather. It turns out people liked that too. We're on a roll!!
Some things haven't changed. We still boil only genuine Louisiana crawfish (no foreign stuff), and it's cooked by a genuine crew of "back in the bayou" Cajun experts. So you get spicy Louisiana crawfish that's second to none! And it's still an "All you can eat" event. We should add "or until we run out" which has happened a few times, but only after everyone is totally full and crying uncle. So no need to worry.
Lastly, we have this event every year to celebrate our Louisiana culture right here in Memphis, but also very importantly, to raise money for our LSU Scholarship Fund. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
